Investors in the Environment Accreditation 2021

We are happy to announce that KWL continue to achieve the Green Level Award through the Investors in the Environment (IIE) accreditation scheme by implementing an environmental management system.

There are three levels of accreditation, with the Green Award being the most challenging.

By achieving the accreditation, we are demonstrating a commitment to minimising our environmental impact and helping to set the standard for the environment.

The IEE annual audit consist of an assessment of five key areas of an organisation’s Environmental Management System (EMS). These areas include:

• Environmental Policy
• Resource management and monitoring
• Progress against targets
• Action Planning including social/environmental projects
• Communication

Key Highlights for KWL over the past year were:

• A robust Environmental Management System is in place.
• A good Environmental Policy is in place with the addition of a separate Legal Register.
• A 20% reduction in the use of paper due to the introduction of electronic processing of invoices and pay slips.
• A 25% reduction in the waste produced.

By qualifying for the Green award, KWL are classed as a green leader and help to set the standard for the environment amongst businesses

As our ongoing commitment to the environment, KWL will continue to strive to introduce new initiatives and thoroughly monitor our performance against challenging targets to improve our environmental management system.
