KWL Apprentice Open Day 2020 – Cancelled

It is with great regret that we have had to make the decision to cancel our 2020 Apprenticeship open day.

The cancellation is in the public interest given the current events occurring in respect of the Coronavirus epidemic.

KWL are hosting an Open Day, inviting young persons age 16-19 who are interested in an apprenticeship and career in construction.

Note that there is no charge to attend this event.

This event will be held on:
Saturday 18th April 2020 from 10am to 2pm
Location: KWL Office, Kingswood, Connaught Road, Hull. HU7 3AP

Investing in young women and men is key to the future success of our business, with 75% of all apprentices trained and retained by the company.

If you are aged between 16-19 and would like an exciting career in any of the following fields, we would love to meet you.

– Plumber
– Electrician
– Joiner
– Plasterer/Tiler
– Vehicle Mechanic
– Business Admin

Following our Apprentice Open Day last year, KWL recruited 10 full time apprentices in both construction and fleet trades.

The apprentices were recruited out of a total of 162 expressions of interest arising from the open day event.

To celebrate the new appointments, we held an Apprentice Evening at the Guildhall presided by the Lord Mayor of Hull. The evening is an opportunity for the apprentices and their families to meet the KWL Directors and Management Team. The event also sees the apprentices presented with their toolbox and tools.

Many of our apprentices have progressed to receive national recognition for their achievements.

KWL has increased apprentice intake from 2007 to 2019 and has recruited 158 full-time apprentices who are all trained to NVQ Level 3.
