KWL offering 3 ‘Kickstart’ placements for young people

Last year, the Chancellor launched the Kickstart Scheme – a new initiative to prepare disadvantaged young people for the world of work.

The scheme offers young people aged 16-24 years, fully funded work placements across the UK, to gain invaluable experience.

KWL is taking part and will be working in partnership with local charity Probe, who will act as an Intermediary. We hope to help launch exciting careers in the local community.

3 placements will be available at KWL:

  • Business Administration (Kingswood)
  • Stores Assistant (Kingswood)
  • Vehicle Technician Assistant (KWL Fleet)

These placements will be:

  • 6 months
  • Minimum attendance of 25 hours per week
  • Individuals will be paid the National Minimum Wage for their age

The Government states that all applicants must be aged between 16 and 24 years old and currently claim Universal Credit to be eligible for the Kickstart Scheme.

We look forward to welcoming some great young people into our team and potentially recruiting on completion of these placements.
