Where are you from?
I’m from Hull and have lived here all of my life.
What did you do before joining KWL?
I worked for Hull City Council before transferring to KWL in 2007 as a learning and development officer.
What’s your role at KWL?
My main role is to keep an up to date training history for each and every employee.
This involves keeping a record of each training activity they attend, liaising with different providers, groups and organisations we are members of to achieve the best possible training for each and every employee, while keeping up to date with any health and safety legislation.
If anybody gets stuck with an Excel spreadsheet, they come and see me. If I don’t know the answer, I know who always will: Google!
What do you enjoy the most about working at KWL?
One of the things I enjoy the most about my role is the variety.
As the company has grown, so has the range of training activities that we source and deliver. So I’m always researching different training courses and my knowledge is continually expanding.
