Queens House receives new lease of life KWL Hull

Queens House, Paragon Street, is a rectangular commercial block which extends around King Edward and Jameson Street.

Goodwin is a charitable organisation set up in 1994 by the residents of the Thornton Estate, and utilising government funding, Goodwin purchased the vacant office space of Queens House to create 16 affordable apartments.

The project was the biggest single project to date under the Government’s Department for Communities and Local Government for funding under the Empty Property Community Grants Programme 2013.

KWL performed the role of Principal Contractor under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007. The project was delivered for Goodwin Development Trust for a budget of £1.1million.
